I've searched for a very long time for a refrigerator that would fit in the built-in compartment and have all the features I want. Well, here it is! It seems to have unlimited capacity. I keep loading it up and it never seems to run out of space. I was concerned that the bottom freezer would be small with limited capacity. Not so. The design is excellent. My only negative is that the produce drawers seem a bit flimsy and do not slide in-and-out as smoothly as I would like. Now that the fridge fit is resolved, I can move onto the rest of the kitchen remodel!!

I've had this refrigerator for about a month now. It seems bigger than the 22 Cu. Ft. that it is. I also like that the ice maker makes a smaller ice cubes. The downside is on other brands when you open the freezer door the top drawer (w/ the ice) pulls out halfway with the door on this one it doesn't. Also when water is filling the ice maker it's noticeably loud. Overall I am pleased with it and hope it's made well and durable. My last fridge (shelving and ice maker) did not hold up well.

The left door does not open and close independently. We did not know about this feature when we went to Jerome's showroom, because they did not have this fridge on display. 1) If we need only the left side we still have to open the right door first and then open the left door. 2) If we need to close the fridge doors we must always close the left side door first and then close the right side door. 3) The sliding of the freezer door is not smooth.

The main task of keeping food fresh and cool/cold it does excelently! So, why not 5 stars? We replaced a fridge of same size, but single door. Turns out I like the single door better as you could get in with one hand; with two doors it's awkward/impractical to open only one side with one hand - you need to open both sides to see well and/or take out the item. Another complaint is the veg and fruit drawers do not slide easily. Lastly quibble the Maytag label and the warranty tags are too pronounced on the front - how do I get these off without harming the appearance?

Fridge does an excellent job keeping things cool, lots of space and lighting is excellent. The compressor is a bit noisy when it runs and the high speed water hose that fills the ice maker makes quite a bit of noise when it uses water.

I have a slightly smaller space for my refrigerator so reseached non-36" sizes. So glad I picked this one one. Great layout, great styling. There were some reviews mentioning noise. The only time I hear it is when it's refilling the water for the ice cube maker and that is short. Only issue is when pulling out drawers in fridge you have to be careful they don't come out too far. I can see side edges breaking in time if too much stress from pulling out. (Also mentioned in some reviews.)

From day 1, out of the box didn't work at all ZERO. Had to have a technician come and fix the controller. Then, we had a feeling it wasn't very cold even if it was on coldest setting. After having food that keeps going bad, we put a thermometer and it was at 64F the whole time. Second technician comes, we have to stop using the fridge for 36 hours to deice it.... this time it works correctly, finally our milk is cold... That lasted about 5 days, now back again to 53 and rising.... what an expensive piece of junk

The door design is very poor. You must open the right door to be able to close the left door completely. So very disappointed with my new maytag appliances try to call no one answers. Call the warranty number they schedule a service technician to come out. The service technician then calls tells my 12 year old son to tell his mom he's not wasting his time coming over it's not covered under warranty. I will never buy or recomend Whirlpool/Maytag to anyone.
