I bought this unit to have for a backup if we loose power for an extended period of time. The power consumption is low enough to power with my generator. I have been using it nightly since installing (which was easy), I raised the temp of my central unit and only cool my bedroom. To my surprise in the ECO mode the unit actually shuts the fan off when the compressor is not running! Keeps my bedroom plenty cool enough on low and is really quite. Really liking the unit!

This 6K BTU unit was on sale for 50% off. I was skeptical about ordering online and shipment potential damage. It got here and in excellent shape and it works GREAT . I put this in a 10 x 12 workshop with a 12 foot ceiling. I used my infrared thermometer to measure temperature of air blowing out of unit , it was 47* on lowest setting and max. fan !Just had it a month but so far I love it.

I bought this model on the reviews from previous owners saying how quiet this unit was, it's not! But having it installed professionally it not like I can just return it. Definitely not recommending for the Bedroom .

Never thought I would get so much use from my air conditioner. Summer weather has extended into September here on Cape Cod. The unit cools quickly and I like the energy savings-turns off when not needed. Will be purchasing 2 more for my other bedrooms!

I purchased this Frigidaire window air conditioner to replace one that no longer worked. This is my 4th window unit and it is by far the quietest one. Cools the room very well. I only wish they would ask for reviews after a year and you can truly try it out.

Although the unit is quite noisy, I appreciate the many different modes it can be set to. I wish I had gotten the 8,000 BTU as it might have cooled more of my space.

The room above our attached garage has always been the hottest room in the house by almopst 10 dsegrees. To make it comfortable meant making the rest of the upstairs (two zoned system) colder and increasing our electric bill by at least a $100 during the Texas summer that lasts 6 months. This Frigidaire 6000 BTU unit worked like a charm. Instructions were right on, Installation was a breeze, and the compressor runs quieter than I expected. I found an unbelievable deal on Amazon for $124 right before Labor Day.

I'll preface this by saying I've only had this A/C for a month and a half at time of writing this review. My bedroom is around 156 square feet (14.49 m²), so it does a wonderful job of cooling things down to the point of becoming a little too frigid (ha) at times. The noise level is just okay, although I can be particular about the kind of noise I find tolerable; I assume the whirring noise I hear is coming from the coils, and it can be mildly to moderately annoying.There's also been a rather unfortunate development: when I switch from 'fan' to 'cool', or sometimes when the condenser (I assume) kicks back in when already on 'cool', there's a very grating clicking noise that lasts for about 10™20 seconds. I'm afraid that it might get worse over time, since I haven't been using it for all that long. I don't know if this is a common issue or not, and I plan on reaching out to hopefully get it fixed, but it's the one significant downside I've noticed at this point.Still, despite only giving it a 3/5, I'd recommend it if you're not particular about noise. Whereas if noise doesn't bother you at all, it's closer to being between 4/5 and 5/5, imo. It certainly gets the job done.

This AC unit ROCKS! I just moved into a new apartment for my junior year in college and found that there™™s no central AC™¦ and the temps go up to 98 degrees here sometimes. I knew I needed to get this specific unit after I read all the reviews raving about it. They were right to do so, because this little guy works so well and cools down our apartment quickly and quietly. I can™™t believe I paid as little as I did for this amazing thing.

Seems pretty effective but louder than expected. It sounds like something is loose but I can't find anything amiss. The remote is kind of clunky compared to my older model Frigidaire, I assume they had complaints about the thin ones getting lost.

I'm a.little disappointed, I replaced an older 5000 BTU with this 6000BTU unit. It dies not cool as well as the old one. It is noisy when going on and off in auto mode. I can not get the filter light to go off after cleaning the filter.Also, the price dropped $70 one month after I bought it I'm hoping to recoup the difference. I will contact CS.It was super easy to set up though. And does have a remote, I don't use it but some people may like that.

My new window air conditioner was ideal for my situation. I live in a condo and do not have central a/c. Condo regulations require me to have my unit in the rear of my home. That area being my bedroom is ideal. I am more than satisfied with the efficiency of what the unit provides.

So far, we are two weeks in and this one is doing great blowing ice cold air. The remote control is a great feature. We are happy we found this one for a decent price and used some of our rewards points to buy it on Amazon. Although Amazon claimed the item took an extra 2 days before it was finally shipped from a warehouse. I removed a star because it seemed that Frigidaire was responsible for the holdup, but the product is very good so far.

This window unit is exceptional. I was surprised by the easy setup and careful packaging of the product. The only help I needed was another person to lift the unit onto the window sill. Once you plug it in it is ready to go and even has a remote control for convenience. I automatically noticed how quiet this unit was while still providing maximum air circulation. The unit ranges from 60-90 degrees and has different modes. My favorite thing is probably the sleep mode as I often forget to turn off electronics, this is great for being economically responsible! The air filter is also easy to install. I did have trouble with installing the side panels and will need some assistance but overall I am super happy with the product and it came just in time for the hot summer!
