Frigidaire Freezer works good so far!

No problem with our appliance and it runs good so far, but we've only had it about 2 weeks. Seems nice and quiet and a green light underneath shows us it's running. We were disappointed though, that the front of the door has several dents and marks on it. This came from the factory from what we can tell, since the box and foam around it were untouched.

When you buy a freezer, you expect one thing above all else™"it should freeze. And in that regard, this Frigidaire delivers. But from the moment I plugged it in, something else became impossible to ignore: the compressor is loud. Not just a subtle background hum™"this thing announces itself.Concerned, I reached out to Frigidaire Support. Their response? ™Totally normal.™ They suggested I unplug it for 45 minutes, then plug it back in and monitor. I did. No change. Same noise. I even double-checked that the freezer was perfectly level™"no tilting, no uneven weight distribution™"just to rule out any vibrations or mechanical strain. Still, the noise persisted. Look, I understand I™™m getting the company line here, but as a licensed engineer specializing in thermal fluid systems, I couldn™™t shake the feeling that something was off. The noise level is easily twice as loud as the refrigerator-freezer combo sitting right next to it. That sent me down a rabbit hole of diagnostics, trying to determine if I was imagining things. But everything checked out™"no frozen components, no plastic rubbing against fans. It™™s just the compressor, making a racket.My instincts tell me something isn™™t right. Frigidaire insists it is. I suppose time will tell who™™s correct™"but I have a sneaking suspicion that answer will come just after the warranty expires.

We are so happy we chose the Frigidaire Upright Freezer. The exterior is easy to wipe clean, and the interior has enough shelving options that we can customize the shelf heights to accommodate any size items. We also like that the shelves on the doors are full and do not have an open bottom so that items don™™t slip out of the shelves. Our favorite feature is the green light on the bottom front that lets us know at a glance the freezer is functioning properly. There is also an alarm that sounds if the interior temperature gets too warm. Highly recommend this freezer!

From an aesthetic viewpoint, the unit is well conceived: simple lines, spacious, surprisingly well lit, easy to clean, and simple to manipulate shelf spacings. From an operational standpoint, the controls are simple but adequate, the compressor is quiet, and overall an easy-to-use appliance.

I love my new freezer. My husband harvested an elk and 2 whitetail deer this year and everything fit with room to spare. Love that it lights up when I go out to pull meat in the dark. A great replacement for the antique deep freezer we had been using.

My 30-year-old freezer (Sears made 'em hardy back in the day!) died and I had a freezer full of beef on the edge of thawing. Our local appliance store swooped in to the rescue with this lovely beast. I've only had it a couple of days, but I can safely say it ROCKS! It's huge, the adjustable shelves are heaven, and it works!!! The size and the interior and exterior lights...perfect!
